Scott's Story
Scott is originally from Buffalo, NY. He loves the Buffalo Bills and Sabres even though they crush his soul every year. After graduating college with a US History and Teaching degree from Buffalo State College, he did what Horace Greely suggested and “Went West young man…” and moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado where he became involved in many creative and adventurous endeavors. Here are a few of them: He re-traced the Lewis and Clark Trail while thousands of school kids across the country followed along (Seriously, ask him about Lewis and Clark and he will regale you with some pretty amazing stories about that journey.) He co-created the award winning juggling/comedy/magic troupe “We’re Not Clowns” and has performed over 500 shows in venues across the country and Europe (Ask him about this favorite gig… It just might surprise you). For nearly a decade Scott was the Executive Director of the Historic Chief Theater in Downtown Steamboat Springs. During his tenure at The Chief, he created a welcoming gathering space for both the community and a diverse array of performers. In 2019 the Chief Theater hosted nearly 200 events. In 2021 The Parker Clan moved to the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Scott was tasked with rejuvenating a Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center that is “The Gateway To Oregon Wine Country”. Scott loves to cultivate teamwork, community building, and positivity through workshops, storytelling, and keynote presentations. He has worked with groups from Shell Oil, Pepsi Co., and the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation. He currently lives in Oregon Wine Country with his incredibly patient wife, three amazing kids, and more chickens and cats than he can count.
